The weather was amazing today! We went on a day after Christmas hike to Triple Falls, Hooker Falls, and Looking Glass Falls.

Christmas Fun
WOW! Another fantastic Christmas. Uncle Tony and Abuelita came up to spend Christmas with us and also mom's cousin Victor from California. We went to midnight mass at the Basilica on Christmas Eve then came home a quickly went to bed so that Santa could come. This year I asked Santa for a surprise so I wasn't sure what I would be getting. I woke up Christmas morning and quickly went out to see…Santa surprised me with Heelys and a super soft pillow!! I love both. I learned how to wear my Heelys that afternoon. I also got some other amazing gifts from some amazing people :-) Thank you everyone and Merry Christmas.
PS Uncle Tony and Victor got a ballon animal making kit but I sorta took it over and made balloon things all afternoon :-)

Catawba Falls in the Fall
Today was a beautiful (but chilly) day and we decided to go on a hike to one of our favorite summer waterfalls, Catawba Falls. Only one problem....the water level was high due to some of the recent rain falls we had. So off came our sock and shoes and into the cold river water we went. Not once, not twice, but three times on the way up and three times on the way back down... I was a trooper but it wasn't the most fun hike I've ever done. The waterfall itself was amazing when we got there but we didn't stay too long since the sun wasn't shining in that particular spot and we were all chilly.
