Vail, CO

We're back! (for a few days now). Uncle Tony, gave mama her Christmas present and flew us all out to Vail, CO. It was so amazing to see the rockies. I didn't get to do any snowboarding (maybe next year), but all the "grown-ups" did. We flew into Denver, which was pretty cool too. Oh, and I was GREAT on the plane. Flying didn't bother me one bit. This was the best picture we had on our camara....Uncle Tony has the rest of them.

ArtSpace Holiday Party

Tonight was dada's ArtSpace holiday party. We all got dressed up in our "formal" attire. There was so much good food and a lot of people that I know from being at school with dada. We all had a great time :-)

Growing Quickly

Mom and dad took me for my 15th month Wellness exam today. :-( Everything was going fine...they weighed me (26 lbs. with a diaper and onesie on), took my temperature, measured my length (31-1/2 inches), mom and dad talked to the doctor (mostly about my weight and belly)...BUT then this other lady came in and gave me TWO shots :-( It was horrible! I cried and screamed. The other doctor came out of her office to make sure everything was okay. My mom and dad calmed me down though. The good news from it all is that those were my last shots until I am 4 years old and that seems very far away.

Hiking the Looking Glass

Last weekend I "hiked" the Looking Glass with my dada, Tommy and Shannon. Mama couldn't go because she had a lot of work to catch up on. It was a long hike; it took most of the day, but the view from the top was amazing. I hope to go back with mama some day.

Halloween Weekend

This year was my second Halloween, and it pretty cool. My mom made all of our costumes. Mom was Dorothy, dad was the scarecrow, and I was Toto. Everyone loved my cotume :-) We went to two parties during the weekend and then went trick-or-treating on Halloween night down our road. For more pics... 

Trip to Pawley's Island, SC

This past weekend we went to Pawley's Island, SC (it's near Myrtle Beach). The weather was so warm and we got to spend Friday afternoon out on the beach(Garden City). I had a lot of fun walking around and going in the water.

Busy Weekend

This weekend was really busy. But in a REALLY fun way. On Saturday we drove all the way up to Sugar Mountain to go to Oktoberfest. The day was so beautiful. There wasn't a cloud in the sky. And since it's higher up in elevation, the leaves were all changing colors.
Then, on Sunday we drove over to Hickory Nut Gap Farm's pumpkin patch. That was a lot of fun too. Ofcourse I have some pictures, so check them out :-)

Just a general update

It's been awhile since I made my last post so I thought I'd give you all a general update...
I started my Kindermusik class this month. It's been great. Mama takes me. It's in Black Mountain every Thursday. I'm still not sure what to REALLY think about it, but it's fun and I really enjoy listening to the music and being there with my mama. I still go to story time (or mother goose time) at the library and have play group with my friends and their mamas. I haven't been taking swim lessons this month but next month I'll be back. OH! I've got my first molar!! Mama and dada didn't even know until it had already popped thru. (I must be a good teether). The weather is starting to get cooler. Mama always puts me in a sweater in the mornings. She says that I have to start wearing layers now. I'm not sure I know what she means, I really don't mind the cold, and by afternoon its nice and "warm". I think there is a Greek Festival this weekend so I'll tell my parents to bring the camera so that I can post some new pictures ;-)

12 Month Wellness Exam

Mama took me to the pediatrician today. She said that I was "perfect". I got to use the 'big people" scale and I didn't have to get naked for it :-) I weighed in, with my diaper on, at 24 pounds. Mama is saying my diaper was probably a few ounces so we're calling it 23 pounds. I've grown so much this year, when I was born I was 21" and now I'm 29-3/4" tall! Mama checked the growth charts when we got home and I am in the 75th percentile for both height and weight. After all that was done some "mean" lady came in and gave me TWO shots! The first one I didn't mind the second one I DID NOT like. I don't have to go back unitl I'm 15 months and they said that will be the last of my shots until Kindergarten :-)

My 1st Birthday Party!!

WOW! This weekend was a blast. My Abuelita, Uncle Tony, Godmother Amie and Justin all came up for my birthday. Mama and Dada couldn't believe that I was turning 1! But they sure know how to plan a party. Classic pooh was everywhere! It was awesome. It was all a little overwhelming at first, since I had just woken up from a nap when people started coming in, but then as my friends arrived I started to play. Ava, Joya and I had a great time playing with my present from my Mamaw! After playing for awhile it was time for the CAKE! I wasn't sure at first, but mama and dada said it was okay for me to just "DIG" in. I got it everywhere and it was really good. Thanks to everyone who came and shared my special day with me. BR Gator Club Picnic

Yesterday was the Blue Ridge Gator Club picnic out at Lake Julian (near mama's old apartment). We all went even though mama and I have a cold. It was a little rainy but still lots of fun. I made some friends that I "ran" around with :) P.S. This may be my last blog as a 0 year old :)

Graduated Baby II Swim Class

I graduated from Baby II swim class yesterday!! What can I say, I'm a natural swimmer :-) I'll be taking the same class again though until I'm old enough to be in the next class. It will be fun being able to swim all winter long.

Bele Chere Fun

Although it was raining in the morning and we ended up going to the mall for about two hours we finally made it out the Bele Chere. We walked around for a while and caught a dog show. Mama walked me around when I wanted to, which was awesome. I think mama, dada and uncle Tony had a good time too. We went home afterward and dada and uncle Tony left for the Crooked Routes show. On Monday we went over to one of my friends house to celebrate her mama's birthday. Playing with my friends is a lot of fun! Here are some pictures from this weekend.

Play Group Pictures

I had my first ever play group at my house with my friends from Storytime, Ava and Desmond and their mama's. It was SO much fun! Desmond loved playing in my Jumperoo. I get to hang out with them again when we go to Ava's house for her mom's birthday this weekend and I can't wiat!

One more month to go....

Today is my 11 month birthday!! I've only got one more month to go until the BIG 1!!!

Weekend Trip

This weekend mama, dada, and I went to Lake City for my Abuelita's birthday. My Uncle Tony was there too. We had a great time. My abuelita's house is so much fun. It has this long hallway in it that I just had to walk down...so, I did! All by myself! I just kept going around with no one holding on to my hands. Everyone was so proud and happy. On the way back home we stopped in Athens to see Amie and her new apartment. When we left there I was NOT happy to hear we had to drive three more hours, but we finally made it back home and today is just like a normal Tuesday. I'll post some pictures soon. My Uncle has them all, but he's coming to visit ME this weekend. :)

Fourth of July

My mama and dada sure know how to celebrate. We had such a great fourth of July yesterday. In the morning we picked up Tommy and Shannon and spent a couple hours at "The Beach" on Lake Powhatan. It was beautiful there. It was my first time swimming in a lake (mama's too). We packed up and headed to Tommy and Shannon's house were we all ate lunch and I napped for a little while. Afterward we went home and showered and changed and headed over to the Chase's for my play-date with Sara Nell who is 2 weeks younger than me. Sara Nell and I got along great and played the whole night. Then the adults took us girls to the downtown festivites. Later that night back at the Chase's we all watched the fireworks. Dada, mama and I headed home after that and I ofcourse fell asleep in the car. Check out the pictures on Shutterfly.

Graduated

I graduated from Baby I swim class today :) Next week I start Baby II . I'm not to fond of this going under water stuff though, but I do like swimming.

Teeth

The prevoius post has an error...I actually have SIX teeth!! Three on top and bottom.

At the Park and More

Mama and Dada took me to the park in front of the library the other day. I had a GREAT time. When we got there two other little girls were there playing and I enjoyed watching them. One day I'll be big enough to play like them :)

I got to try out my new "walking" shoes too. Mama took a video of me walking (with my dada's hand of course). She sent it out to a few people, but if you didn't get it and want to let her know. We took some pictures too.

In other news...I have another tooth coming out! That makes for a total of FIVE teeth! I'm well on my way to having a full set ;)

Swim Lessons

I had my first (ever) swim lesson this morning at the YWCA! Both Mama and Dada came with me. Watching the other babies and older boys and girls was pretty cool. They taught us how to "dig" and "kick". I'll be a pro in no time at all!

Mama and Dada's First Anniversary

Mama, Dada and I took a dinner cruise on Lake Lure yesterday to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary. The boat ride was really fun. There where all these really big and expensive houses along the lake and some amazing views of the surrounding mountains (as you can see in our picture).

First Carnival

Mom and dad took me to the Carnival at the mall this past Saturday. I had lots of fun watching all the people and the crazy rides. I had the most fun though when we all went on the ferris wheel. Mom was a little scared, but I was having a blast.

Crawling

You can't tell from the pictures, but I have finally learned how to crawl! It's great. I can go anywhere I want to now! I can even go after the cats :) Mom is going to send out a video clip of me. If you didn't get it and you want to see it just send her an email or post a comment.
