Isabella's 9th Birthday Party

We celebrated my 9th birthday a few days early today out at Montreat Park. It started to sprinkle/rain as soon as it was party time and continued to do so on and off thru the party but we had a lot of fun anyway. My friends and I played in the creek and found fish and snails. Then we did a dinosaur dig where we had to find dinosaur bones. We almost didn't find the last one but right towards the very end of the party my friend Mina found the last bone, the tail bone. This year I asked mom to make my birthday cake and it was better then I thought it would be. She made a volcano and dinosaur land chocolate cake :-) Thank you everyone who came out in the rain to celebrate with me. It truly was a "marvelous day".

First Day of Fourth Grade

Lake Tomahawk

Walking around the lake while we were at Abuelita's house made Mommy remember our lake, so after dinner tonight we went for a walk around Lake Tomahawk in Black Mountain. 

We can't feed the ducks here though :-(

Daddy Daughter Date Night

Tonight Daddy and I went on a Daddy Daughter Date Night at Chickfila. We had a really great time. Before the date daddy took me to the Grove Park Inn for a Shirley Temple, then we headed off to dinner at Chickfila where we had out own special table with balloons and activities. 

I sure do love my Daddy :-)

FLORIDA

We just back from our Florida vacation last night and it was AMAZING!!! We did SO much while we were there. The first week we were in Orlando with Mamaw, Aunt Elizabeth, Uncle Kieth, Cilla, and Ember. Then we were off to Lake City to spend almost a whole week with Abuelita and Uncle Tony!! OK, so here is what we did (in a nut shell) Day 1 Disney World, Day 2 Pool at the condo, Day 3 Island of Adventure/Universal Studios, Day 4 Cocoa Beach, Day 5 Clearwater Beach, Day 6 Travel day to Abuelita's. While were at Abuelita's house we spent a day in Gainesville and went to the Natural History Museum and park, we walked around the lake and feed the ducks, we played outside, got haircuts, spent the day in St Augustine walking down George Street, checking our the fort, and playing at a park...we probably did more, I don't know. The day before we left there we had to take Uncle Tony to the airport so he could get back to London. Then it was our time to head back home. On the way up we stopped at Godmama Amie's house and met Baby Garrison and stayed for dinner. SO, as you can guess we have a TON of pictures to document all of this. Hiking Graveyard Fields

We went up to Graveyard Fields today and hiked to both waterfalls. It was a beautiful day for a hike.

Sleepover with Mina

Mina came over tonight and we are having a sleepover!!!!!!!!!

Blueberry Picking

Today we went blueberry picking at Hickory Nut Gap Farm. I don't normally like blueberries but for some reason I really like these :-)

PS We ate them ALL. Mom didn't get the chance to make anything with them.

Happy Fourth of July

We went over to the farm to celebrate Fourth of July this year. Mamaw had a lot of people over to celebrate first at her house then we went over to Uncle Eddie and Aunt Kitten's house for a cookout and fireworks. We watched both the Jonesville fireworks and Uncle Keith put on a firework show right afterwards. It was an all around great time!
