Christmas

Christmas never fails to be interesting, and this year we celebrated without power.
My Abuelita and Uncle Tony got here Christmas Eve and we all went to midnight mass (I didn't make it to the end though). When we woke up Christmas morning the house was really cold and we realized that we had lost power during the wind storm that night. Even though there was a big wind storm Santa still made it to our house!! I had such a wonderful time opening all my gifts from Santa and my family. Afterward we spent the rest of the day and night playing with all the new toys and games that I had gotten.
Thank you everyone!

Sledding

Snow Day(s)

Early morning, Friday.
Sledding Friday afternoon
Getting ready to go down the slide (Sat. morning)
Making a snowman in the backyard.
We woke up Friday morning to some snowfall....well, it never stopped. It snowed all day and night Friday. Friday our friends (and neighbors), John and Anna-Kate, walked over and we attempted sledding down our driveway. It was pretty fun. Saturday morning after breakfast we played in the (pristine) backyard and made a snowman. Then my friend (and neighbor), Leighanne, came over and we had a snowball fight, made an igloo, and did some more sledding down the driveway. It was pretty awesome. And if that wasn't enough. Another friend of mine, Elena, had her birthday party....we tried driving down to their house, but ended up walking. The snow will still be here in the morning, but will probably start melting by tomorrow afternoon.

School Performance

For our last day before winter break we put on a class performance. It was pretty great. Ms. Louise said I was the only one that sung all the songs and that I'm such a little performer; I wonder who I get that from ;-)
Today, we are enjoying all the snow that's been coming down.

Week/end In Review

Wow, what a week and weekend. It has been really, really cold here and even rainy (but no snow). During the week mama took me to the play pool, we did a lot of cooking in school, and we even got to do some 'shopping' for our weekend parties....which brings me to the weekend. On Friday Mamaw, Granpa Steve, and Maw came over to babysit me while mama and dada went to mama's company's Christmas Party. Then on Saturday, we went to see the Oscar Mayer Weinermoble at Ingles, the gingerbread houses at the Grove Park Inn, out to lunch, then to Zahra's Birthday party, and last to my preschool's Holiday Party. Today is Sunday and it truely has been a day of relaxation :-)

Christmas Decorating

Today we decorated our Christmas tree!!! It was fantastic as always. I love taking out and looking at all the ornaments that I remember from the year before. And ofcourse, I got to put the first ornament on AND the star!!!!
We also went and watched the Black Moutain Christmas Parade and went to the Circle of Lights at Lake Tomahawk. We were all troopers because it was in the mid 30's...but I got some hot chocolate to keep me warm :-)

Thanksgiving at the Farm

We just got back home from an exciting 5 days at Maw's farm in Virginia. So many things happened...we had Thanksgiving lunch down at Uncle Eddie's and Kitten's, Thanksgiving dinner at Maw's, I got to go for ice cream, Mamaw and Granpa Steve took me to Peggy's farm to see the cows get milked, we watched the holiday parade, and we drove to see the holiday lights in the park. It was all a lot of fun!

The Flu

What a week it's been....So, Thursday morning I woke up with a fever and it turns out that it's the flu :-(
I was finally able to break the fever last night, Tuesday and so far my temperature has been staying down, BUT I have this really aweful cough still.

LEAF Weekend

This weekend we went to LEAF and camped ALL weekend!! Despite the (very) cold weather, we all had a great time. We started off Friday watching daddy play with Ol' Hoopty; Saturday we saw Billy Jonas (I got to play with him onstage) and the Squirrel Nut Zippers; and on Sunday we watched Lunch Money and went canoeing. LEAF is always LOTS of fun!

Pumpkin Patch

This weekend my friend, Haley, had her birthday party out at Hickory Nut Gap Farm. It was so much fun. We got to pick a pumpkin, check out all the farm animals, AND....ride the horse and pony!!!!!
