Sunshine & Downtown Fun

This weekend was SO nice. There was sunshine and some warm-ish (upper 50's) weather. On Sunday, after church, mama and spent a good part of the afternoon walking downtown. We had a bite to eat, enjoyed all the musicians playing on the sidewalk, and had some icecream!! It was a nice change to all the cold weather.

Working for Pennies for Peace

At school we started collecting pennies for Pennies for Peace (and organization that helps build schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan). To get pennies we have to help out around the house. I've been doing a lot of things to help out.

Volcano!

Isabella watching her volcano explode
This month we have been studying dinosaurs at school. So, mom thought it would be fun if we made a volcano. The volcano its self is made out of homemade playdoh that we dyed red. Inside the volcano we used one of daddy's old Nalgene bottles. After we let the playdoh dry for about two days...it was time for the explosion. It was really neat! :-)

Christmas

Isabella opening gifts Christmas day
(Click on picture to see larger)
Christmas never fails to be interesting, and this year we celebrated without power.
My Abuelita and Uncle Tony got here Christmas Eve and we all went to midnight mass (I didn't make it to the end though). When we woke up Christmas morning the house was really cold and we realized that we had lost power during the wind storm that night. Even though there was a big wind storm Santa still made it to our house!! I had such a wonderful time opening all my gifts from Santa and my family. Afterward we spent the rest of the day and night playing with all the new toys and games that I had gotten.
Thank you everyone!
