SkyTop Field Trip

Today we went on our first kindergarten field trip to Sky Top Orchard!! Mama went as a chaperone and it was SO much fun. First off, we got to ride the bus! When we got there, there was a presentation on apples, then we rode the 'hay' ride, then we were off apple picking. We had to walk to the way back but when we found apples we really found them :-) I can't wait until our next field trip.

Making Waves w/ BMG

Friday night we went to members only night at the Health Adventure where the "Blue Man Group, Making Waves" exhibit opened up. I really enjoyed playing on the pvc pipes and reading/playing the color coded music. And of course daddy really liked the exhibit too. :-)

WNC Fair

Yesterday we spent all afternoon at the WNC fair! I got a bit tired just being out in the sun (it was a beautiful day), but it was a blast. We rode all sorts of rides, I rode a camel (again), picked the right pig to win the piggie races, and watched a couple of shows. I got to ride some new rides this year too since I'm taller. :-) I love the fair!

A Berry Special 5 Year Old

On Friday I turned 5!!!!!!! At school I got to wear the birthday crown all day, mommy and daddy came to have lunch with me, and mommy came at snack with a cookie cake to share with the whole class. When mommy picked me up Uncle Tony surprised me...he was already in the car!! Saturday was my Strawberry Shortcake birthday party. Along with Uncle Tony, Amie, Maw and Mamaw came over. Plus some of my friends. It was a really great time. We swam in the pool, went bobbing for apples, had a seed toss and a pin the strawberry in the strawberry patch game. Mommy had a cake and strawberry shortcake cupcakes and daddy made ice cream :-) Thank you to everyone who came and thank you to everyone who gave/sent me a gift! I have a feeling that it's going to be fun being five.

First Day of Kindergarten

My first day of Kindergarten was awesome! Mama and daddy walked me in. When school started we went to have breakfast and I picked a breakfast muffin AND cereal! During center time I played babies then we went out and played on the playground. I brought a lunch from home today so I didn't have to go thru the lunch line. I liked everything about kindergarten. We even had a rest time. At pick-up my name was called and they took me to my mama's car. I can't wait to go back!

Last Day of Summer

I spent my last afternoon of summer at Montreat Park with my friend Evan...tomorrow I start Kindergarten :-)

Today we went on the last field trip of summer session. Daddy (aka Mr. Craig) took the class to the NC Arboretum. We checked out some backpacks and went hiking. Haley found a really neat bug and we all named him "shimp". :-) It was a super great time!
