Lil' Rock Climber

Yesterday at Bele Chere I got to try rock climbing for the first time EVER!!!

Abuelita's Birthday and Bele Chere

We spent this weekend with Abuelita and Uncle Tony. It was my Abuelita's birthday on Thursday and we took her out to a fancy special dinner at Zambra's and then had (Publix) cake at home :-P It was yummy! Friday afternoon we all went out to Lake Powatan and Saturday was spent out at Bele Chere! It was a great visit for sure! They left early this morning and I miss them already.

July Update

Wow, I haven't made a post in awhile. I guess we really just haven't been taking pictures, but we've been up to a lot. Here are just some of the things I've been up to:
1) Went to see Horton Hears A Who (free summer movie at the new Regal), went out to eat, hung out at Lake Jullian, and went to the new Black Mountain pool all with my friend Evan :-) and all on the same day
2) Saw some great music at Park Rhythms (at Lake Tomahawk in Blk Mnt.)
3) Went to Jullianna's birthday party and played played played on their new trampoline
4) Going to school and hanging out with my friends
5) Listening to some more great music at Grovin' on Grovemont right down at our park
6) Hung out at Downtown After 5
7) Went camping on one of my daddy's friends farm in Leicester

Fourth Of July

Happy 4th of July!!

Yesterday was great. Friday night we camped out in our front yard. We played, watched the lightening bugs, read books, and fell asleep (mama was the fist one asleep). We woke up on Saturday and headed out to Lake Powattan (the beach) where we met up with Tommy, Shannon, Zahra, Vince, Gabe, and Jullianna. After that we hung out at home for a bit and ate dinner. Then we were off to Evan's house and fireworks in Black Mountain.

Happy Father's Day

This year we spent Father's Day inside (since we weren't sure about the rain). We started the day with an amazing breakfast that mama cooked. Then played some playdoh. Afterward, we went to Asheville Fun Depot to play some minibowling, arcade games, daddy got to go on the gocarts, and we all played a rather shortened and not by the rules game of minigolf. And if all that weren't enough, we then went to go see Mary Poppins at the Pizza Company followed by dessert downtown.

Alden's 4th Birthday Party

This saturday morning we went to the Nature Center to celebrate Alden's birthday. I met Alden three years ago when we were both about 9 months old. Amazing isn't it?

First Friday Summer Hike

This Friday daddy and I went on our first Friday summer hike. Last summer we ended our hiking with a long hike to Rattlesnake Lodge, which we never found. This time it was different though. Daddy knew right were it was.

Goodbye Toddler Bed; Hello Big Girl Bed

I've been trying to get this posted for awhile; I've just been super busy having so much fun :-)

Sometime around the middle of May we went to the Habitat and found this really great (twin) headboard/footboard. It was old so it needed some work. Mom and dad came up with an idea for it and we all put it into action. Here are some pics of our work...

Mom is still looking around for a quilt (she's VERY particular); but I LOVE my new bed. Oh, and mom still has plans to paint my bookshelf and nightstand to match my new bed :-)

WACP Graduation

Today was my first ever preschool graduation. We had such a great last day of school. Near the end a lot of the parents/grandparents came to watch us play our gameshow, put on a show (see video below), and get our certificates (I got the Most Cooperative award!). Below is a picture of me and my teacher, Ms. Louise.
