The Flu

What a week it's been....So, Thursday morning I woke up with a fever and it turns out that it's the flu :-(
I was finally able to break the fever last night, Tuesday and so far my temperature has been staying down, BUT I have this really aweful cough still.

LEAF Weekend

This weekend we went to LEAF and camped ALL weekend!! Despite the (very) cold weather, we all had a great time. We started off Friday watching daddy play with Ol' Hoopty; Saturday we saw Billy Jonas (I got to play with him onstage) and the Squirrel Nut Zippers; and on Sunday we watched Lunch Money and went canoeing. LEAF is always LOTS of fun!

Pumpkin Patch

This weekend my friend, Haley, had her birthday party out at Hickory Nut Gap Farm. It was so much fun. We got to pick a pumpkin, check out all the farm animals, AND....ride the horse and pony!!!!!

Apple Picking

Woo-who! This weekend was so much fun. Daddy left Friday afternoon for Boston, BUT my Abuelita and Uncle Tony were here for a visit. Friday afternoon we hung out at the Greek Festival; Saturday was really rainy so we went to the Pizza Co., REI, and the mall (per my request); and Sunday we went to mass, then apple picking at Sky Top Orchard...after that we went to Charlotte to drop Ali and UT off at the airport :-(

Four Year Check-up

So, I went to my four year old check-up and.......I'M PERFECT!! :-)

My heart sounded good, my lungs sounded good, I heard all the beeps, and my eye sight is where it's supposed to be for a four year old.

I wieghed in at 40lbs and measued 41 1/2" tall. And just in case you were wondering, I'm in the 70th percentile.

Visit to the Arboretum

Mama and I went to the Arboretum today after school. There were so many awesome flowers and garden paths to walk on. Of course, I'd been there before, but the last time I went was with my school on a field trip. And the last time that mama and I went was before I turned two! So it was nice to be out there again.

WNC Fair

The WNC Fair was a whole lot of fun. Mom got advanced tickets for half off so we got twice as many tickets which basically meant that I got to ride whatever I wanted (for my height anyway). We also saw a lot of animals and I got to ride a camel! Oh, and I got chosen to help in the magic show and we saw a guy get shot out of a cannon!

Today we'll be at the Harvest Festival and Hickory Nut Gap Farm.

Festivating

This weekend was the beginning of festival season :-) We went to LAAF (Lexington Ave. Arts and Fun) Festival on Sunday and the Apple Festival (in Hendersonville) on Monday. Both equally fun. We saw the King Apple Parade; there were lots of cars and tractors and it ended with horses and one pooped right in front of us :-
Some upcoming events for us include: WNC State Fair; Organicfest; Greek Festival; Apple Picking; Swannanoa's Mill Around the Village; and Oktoberfest :-)

Four Years Old!!!

I am a big kid four year old now!! I've had yet another amazing birthday day and birthday party. On my birthday I woke up to find a new booster seat for the car (I had been in the same old carseat for 3 years). Mama then made me a special birthday breakfast, which was awesome! I had a really great time at school that morning and mama brought princess cupcakes at lunch time. Daddy showed up for that too! Later on in the day after daddy got home, we went out to eat (I chose Texas Roadhouse because I wanted to throw peanuts on the floor) and then out for some ice cream at Cold Stone. Yesterday, Saturday, was my princess and prince birthday party. I had a lot of fun with my friends out at Montreat Park. My Godmother Amie came up which was really fun too!

We're HOME!!

WOW! What a trip! We got home Friday night and it's just one thing after another here, as usual. Daddy's getting ready to start a new school year...and well, so am I :-)
Check back soon for some pictures of the trip. There's a lot to go through so it may take a day or so.
